I'll dominate 'legitimate combatant' Paul - Joshua
The British boxer prepares to battle the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be streamed live on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua stated he will "stamp all over" the American and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to publicize the upcoming bout.
Ex two-time unified boxing king Joshua faces YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, theoretically, a mammoth disparity - at Miami venue on December 19th.
Boxer's Attitude
"I plan to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35 years old, stated.
"I'll stamp all over him. That's a fighter's mentality.
"I'm going to really want to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."
Civil Exchange
Despite those words, a composed Joshua and social media star Jake Paul - normally known for his theatrics - shared friendly words and maintained decorum with each other.
Jake Paul instead targeted former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and described him as "not serious" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.
Targeting Fury
Joshua, at the same time, took aim at British opponent Fury - and rejected a large bet 'Tyson Fury' says he will place on a Paul win.
"Jake Paul outshines Tyson Fury - he's actually sitting here," Joshua commented.
"I respect him for that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to comment unfavorably about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.
Paul's Background
Jake Paul - who first rose to fame on the Disney Channel - has mostly fought mixed martial artists or faded names since becoming pro.
He was defeated by Briton Fury in last year.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter remains one of boxing's largest money-making draws, consistently making massive paydays.
Prediction and Confidence
The 28 year old anticipated a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and stated he would derail the highly-expected Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.
"It's going to be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.
Size Disparity
As both boxers engaged in the customary stare-down, with their size difference on show, it highlighted just how improbable this entire matchup is - and how remarkable it is that the bout is truly happening.
